“From heavy to thin” creates a strong contrast and gradient flows to break the stubborn bulky image of the stone utilizing line/stoke weight nuance.

Color scheme is derived from the appearances of Serpentine Marble (including Olivine, Quartz, and some other minerals.)

We track upstream to better know the manufacturing processes from quarrying to machining. Enjoy the power of nature and humans.

The aim is to construct a new sense and bold visual statement to take the brand to the next stage, and “transform” from local industry to a global vision.

Batu means “stone” in the aboriginal language. It originated from the “Green Butterfly (Neozephyrus)” with its unique patterns, similar to mountain ridges and Serpentine Marble. Furthermore, a contrast between the thinness of the wings and the weight of the stone represents Santai’s desire to make possibilities.

Santai Marble is a stone manufacturer established in Hualien, Taiwan in 1997. It mainly quarries “Green Serpentine Marble,” a domestic unique gem, and wishes to develop worldwide stone processing businesses. These green stones have been widely used in architecture, interiors, and products such as façade, wall décor, art sculptures, etc.

The aim is to construct a new sense and bold visual statement to take the brand to the next stage, and “transform” from local industry to a global vision. With the essence of originality, transformation, and solidity, Santai celebrates the spirit of “Form to Transform” with the metaphor of showing respect to mother nature, being brave to face challenges/ make possibilities, and later enjoying the wonderful life led by Santai Marble.
